Equines of America is a registry designed to provide a recorded history of ownership, breeding, and a proof of identification that greatly aids in recovery of a horse in case of theft or natural disasters. All horses are required to be microchipped and DNA tested to obtain a genetic profile. Microchips are small, safe, inexpensive forms of permanent identification. A genetic profile is similar to human fingerprints; each one is unique making identification easier.
Equines of America welcomes all breeds and crosses into its premium registry, provided that at least one grandparent or 25% of the pedigree is verified. Horses with unknown lineage are designated as "FOUNDATION STOCK."
EOA also acts as a 3rd party agent assisting with paperwork for outside registries and associations. This includes registering a horse, transfer of ownership, and help recovering lost papers. For EOA to act as a 3rd party agent, you must comply with said registry/association. Owner must complete and sign an "Authorization of Agent" form. DNA is mandatory. Please visit the rules and regulations for more information.
We offer a "HIGH POINT" program for all disciplines that run from January 1 though December 31.
Congratulations to "EL FEO", awarded as Equines of America 2024 High Point Champion!
